News Unity rumoured to be up for sale

Would like to see someone like Microsoft pick this up rather than Google

 

Microsoft could have bought Winamp too, which might have done wonders for its image and its rather mediocre XBOX Music app.

Instead it blew its wad on Minecraft (I mean, WTF?).

 

This is... interesting. I wonder what will happen with it, been interested in using Unity.

 

I hope we don't lose the free version :/

 

I would not be surprised if Microsoft buys it to complete their development environment. Which could be a good thing if they do not change the pricing models too much. They recently purchased the plugin for connecting Unity with VS so they definitely have some interest in the program.
