Hehehe, if your expecting action shots you'd be disapointed. I was away from my pc for a bit and when i got back and heard some noise and traced it to my pc. So, i pressed the switch strait away! Here is the damage caused. Anyways, i was wondering what i should do with it. Should i bin it and buy a new one? or somthing else?
Wow, that was a quick reply! Im not sure how it happened though, i was out of the room so it could have been anything (this is on 24/7 like most so i dont think that is the problem, though it does get very warm) Just incase, its a UV Blacklight btw.
It looks like the cable has been bent very hard, leaving a split on the covering and might have came in contact with the other wire = kapow!
I could send it back, its still got its 12 warrenty left I took a video of it asswell if anyone wants to host/send it the them (Msn Messenger preferably)
i think ccfs are a pretty high voltage, so as mentioned a shaved off section in the wire(wouldnt even need to be all the way thru to the metal) could allow it to arc to the case.
