Terrible site, definitely aimed at keeping the uninformed layman uninformed...NOT a site for enthusiasts, and NOT one that should be plugged on a site for enthusiasts.

    Hmm, yes please elaborate.
For exact comparisons it's not anandtech, but for a quick glance at how your current gpu stacks up to competition and if you need that upgrade, it's really user friendly.

I find this actually great for a quick compare between especially the K and non K versions of Ivy bridge for someone with no need for overclocking some systems. Its brilliant. Its easy, it gives a quick break down with no hassle and exactly what the main pros and cons are for the average user and what the difference will be at a glance. Brilliant idea to do a gpuboss, harder to make the comparisons but something for EVERY group of people whether expert or amaetuer.

Infact along with CustomPC/Bit tech this is one of the deciding factors between nvidia and amd cards or amd and intel cpu based systems. Im intel and nvidia fanboy i must admit but if the specs are the same and the former or the latter is cheaper im obviously choosing the economical choice :)

Actually more useful than CPU comparisons. CPUs are fewer in number and easier to compare.

I'm struggling to work out who it is aimed at. The discerning PC geek will already have an appreciation of comparable performance from reading reviews and lab tests, and isn't usually looking for the simplistic "Better than, yes/no"advice the site offers.

Pretty much everyone else, won't have a clue what a CPU/GPU is and will go to the IT Geek in their circle of friends, or PC World (shudders).

But do you want to spend hours reading reviews and lab tests, or get a quick idea of performance and then read more about the specific details after you have a rough idea of whats what.

I think if you used it as your only comparison it could be foolish, but used as a quick comparison i think it has its uses.

I enjoy reading reviews and lab tests, as do many enthusiasts. That was my point.
