    Hello everyone,

I was just wondering what components modder usually buy/use for the front panel IO of their scratch builds.

    I recently purchased this cable:

for my scratch build and it set me back 40 dollars, are there other cheaper or more practical options?

    thanks!

ah ok, the layout looks bad IMO, but then you can't beat the price

Another option is to pick up a cheap used tower case and use the IO from that.

Depending on the case, wouldnt it be cheaper to buy a new case?

Scrap the mic and headphone ports and just buy yourself a USB internal cable with screw mounts and a power button cable and momentary switch. Thats what have done for scratch builds. Yeah, it takes extra work to figure out how to mount it to the case, but also gives you complete flexibility on the format of ports and layout. That lian Li cable is well overpriced.
