Hey guys! This will be my first scratch build. It'll be a a watercooled server/htpc/gaming rig in a piece of furniture under my TV. I hope you like it.

This is how my "entertainment room" looks now:

And these are the renders, just to get an idea. I'll improve them while the build is progressing:

The wood is (in spanish) "vitacola", I haven't found the english word. It's a strong and heavy wood. The colour with the varnish will be reddish brown, but it varies with the sun and time, making it a more vibrant colour.

    Feel free to ask anything.

    Regards.

I've mounted all the parts to check everything is ok. There are still some things to finish and process the wood. You'll see in the next posts:

Wow this is looking absolutely phenomenal! I love it when people do wood builds with curves in them, the grain just looks so sexy like that. Speaking of grain, I love your choice of wood, very beautiful indeed. Just one thing though, please try not to be too aggressive with the stain when you get round to it. There've been far too many wooden builds that have been ruined with a poor finish lately. That wood has such a lovely, natural hue, it would be a real shame to "mahoganise" it too much.

I would have been temped to rehouse the sound system in to the design, but looks good all the same, I like.

Well, my package has just arrived (finally), so I have the grill to cut all the recesses in the wood with precision. In the begining, I was thinking in putting two triple radiators with their grills:

Here you see where the switches are going to be:

But in the end I decided to put two quadruple rads because I have enough space. Grills will be on the same level that wood, so I have to make several recesses.

And this is the cut I have to do for the cable channel:

I hope to get these things on Wednesday and take a few pics so you can see the progress.

    Regards.

    Thank you mate!

I'm really glad to announce my first sponsor for Project Mesa: Aquatuning España (Aquatuning Spain). I appreciate all the effort from Aquatuning to give me some products of their stock, such as rad grills, LED's strips and SATA cables.
