    What's the point in a USB3 drive that cant transfer files any faster than USB2?

    I have a couple of these at work, and I have found that you don't need to plug in both USB cables into a USB 2.0 port, using the blue USB 3.0 connector on the cable the hard drive seems to receive enough power.
