Build Advice pc wont boot with a certon gfx card in it

    i got an 500w psu (was a 400w) abit ib9 mainbord a evga 8800gt and a ati 3400 4 gig ram (2x1gig , 1x2gig@667) , if i plug in the 8800gt it wont post (no bleeps fans always on) but if i put the ati card in it runs fine (powers up then down then up again then bleeps as normal), any idears ?

    resting the bios now gives me 4 bleeps when it try's to boot

    might be a bad 8800gt.. seen this before too- if you can rma it

    that's assuming (yeah I know) your ps is single rail and you plugged in correctly.. if it's not single rail- make sure your not overloading any of the 12 volt rails with 4 to 6 pin splitters
