I have recently purchased Origin access and with it, Star Wars Battlefront.
My controller doesn't really cut the mustard for the flying sections.
Can't remember the last time I had a joystick so could do with some buying advice.

If all you are playing is Battlefront then anything by Logitech, Saitek or Thrustmaster will do. It really pays to try before you buy; hand size can make a big difference here.
The Thrustmaster T Flight HOTAS X is a good budget option, and the Saitek X-55 Rhino is a nice middle option. If you're serious, I highly recommend the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, but it is expensive and requires time to learn how to get the best from it.

I tried using my generico Saitek PS2 style controller I use for racing/3rd person and it was not the best, hence my post.

If all you need it for is that game then don't spend mega money on a top end stick as it will just be wasted. Anything from Logitech will be fine or a low to mid range Saitek.

Trying an xBox 360 controller might be worth a go, I never could get on with the PS/2 Controller for some reason, it always felt too small for my liking.

The Thrust Master T16000 is what you probably want. Has hall sensors which is rare for a joystick at the more 'value' end of the spectrum.

    Thanks Parge.
Found it for £27.99 on Game.
Cracking looking joystick; looks perfect for my needs.
Hoping to expand into other genres after being glued to FPS/STealth for so long.
Always loved flight games years ago, just drifted away from them.

Just be aware that the main trigger breaks...happened to 2 out of 3 that I've come in contact with.
