This guide is for Windows 7 or Vista

1# You Need a 4GB USB Drive (plug it)

2# Open the Prompt Command CMD

3# DISKPART (Enter) ---> LIST DISK (Enter)

    Ex of Disk List :

    Disk 0 596 G
    Disk 1 931 G
    Disk 2 4096 MB

4# Choose the USB and type SELECT DISK 2 (Enter) ---> CLEAN (Enter) ---> CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY (Enter) ---> SELECT PARTITION 1 (Enter) ---> ACTIVE (Enter) ---> FORMAT FS=NTFS (Enter) ---> ASSIGN (Enter) ---> EXIT (Enter)

5# Note your DVD Drive assigned letter ex: D PS: If you have an Image and not the CD, don't forget the mount it before.

6# Promt Command again, D: (Enter) ---> CD BOOT (Enter) ---> BOOTSECT.EXE /NT60 F: (Or whatever is your USB Assigning Letter)

7# Copy paste your Windows from your CD to your USB.

8# How to boot on the USB ? Go on your BIOS ---> Advanced Bios Feature (Thats for my board) ---> Hard Disk Boot Priority (Chose the one ex: USB-HDD0: KingstonDataTraveler2) ---> First Boot Device (Chose USB-HDD)

Now you are in Business, nore more CD and no More scratch.

Currently doing a bootable USB to load Vista x86 on a XPS M1210 with the intention of upgrading it into a free Windows 10 32bits.

Well it didn't worked, the XPS is half dead and I just learned that you can't upgrade from Vista to Win 10 for Free : ( Only 7 and 8.1.
