hello guys

got a dell u2711
just built a basic system for it

g630 cpu
msi b75-g45
4gb corsair ddr3
corsair 430w

all in a nice m-atx case

problem is i cant use the screens max res 2560x1440 due to the dvi port on the mobo only supporting 1920x1200

need gpu suggestions, keeping in mind this is a budget system used for business purposes only and maybe some very light gaming but only has a 430w psu.

have seen the following
xfx 1gb silent hd5450 for £17.45
asus 1gb silent hd6450 for £23.64

1gb gainward gt 520 silentFX for £25.52
2gb asus gt 520 silent for £30.52

please remember i get vat back, really want the price as low as poss

If you're not gaming. Any card with dual link DVI is going to work. Cheapest DX11 GPU you can find? Go for it.

well i would like the best i can get for the monies. now i may have looked to low market as i was worried by the psu.

just seen the hd6770 for £61 with gpu power consumption at 88w according to guru3d
or gts 450 for £46

i have two dell u2412m working perfectly on one GTX550Ti .. 1920 x 1200 (x2)

The Dell u2711 should be fine with one of these cards

Any 2-3 year old card

5770 if you can find one cheap
6770 same thing

550 or 560

You will not be gaming at native rez no matter card you get on your psu and CPU so I'd just get the cheapest card that does your rez.

currently using a VGA cable to run 2048x1152 res off the mobo

think upgrading to ssd is abit more important then gpu right now anyway
