Has someone tweaked a forum setting?

Usually, when I'm browsing the forums, threads that have new posts since my last visit are highlighted in yellow (or green if I've previously posted in them). As of this morning, the highlighting is missing and instead the thread title is bolded. Has someone changed a forum setting somewhere, and if so could they please change it back? :D Makes it much harder to see new posts imo.

Edit: Also, threads in which I've posted are no longer highlighted (irrespective of whether or not there are new posts)...

Whilst I'm here, why when clicking on a thread does this forum's software insist on taking you to the latest post since you last logged in, rather than the latest unread post (as almost every other forum I've ever used does)? It's super annoying! :D

I have been wondering this also.
I no longer get informed if a post has been added to a subscribed thread.
    What be going on?

Have just checked the options in the User Control Panel, and even tried toggling the "Disable highlighting threads with new posts" and "Disable highlighting threads you've posted in" options, but to no avail.

I am getting the email notification of an added post now, so that is something.

Noticed the same thing this morning, really hard to see what's new now without the highlighting.

Amazing how such a simple thing makes the forum so much more readable.

I brought this up earlier today in the mod's forum. Hopefully someone can turn it back on as you're right, it's very annoying without it!

Glad it's not just me, I thought I buggered something up when I changed my browser settings last night.

I expect this will get sorted when staff see the thread in the morning - if not I'll drop them an email to get the right box re-ticked / re-unticked / whatever ;)

Until I just saw this thread, I thought the exact same. I just uploaded a pic to Imgur as I was about to make a thread!

Technically they are highlighted. By a tiny blue dot in bottom right corner of the yellow bit-tech.net logo in front of each row.

I had to go back and study this before i could actually see it. Whereas having the thread colour coded was/is far easier on the eye.

I'm glad to have found this thread - I was wondering what had happened as the highlighted threads are much easier to see and find.

I thought I was going mental!

I much prefer the old highlighting, the new one is considerably less obvious.
