So apparently I'm spending 2 weeks of my winter break in an undisclosed country in South Asia (India or Bangladesh, one of the two). I'm kind of dreading going there as I get bored easily, and the last two times I have gone, I have gotten very sick. So I have a lot of time. What can I do there that I would not have the opportunity to do in the United States? I'm thinking I could perform a study of some sort. Keep track of the quantifiable differences between the first and the third world (record how many types of a certain car there are, record the homelessness that I witness personally?)- something that would be worthwhile. I'll be in a third world country with little to no market regulation- what could I buy there that I can't buy here? (cue the drug jokes, but no, seriously!) Also, this sounds a little greedy, but I'm a pretty poor college student... is there anything that I could buy there for very cheap that would be worth a lot (so that it could be sold LEGALLY) here in the first world? Also, what would you guys recommend that I bring that any of you have often forgot on a trip like this (and that would have made your trips a lot better)?
A decent camera (but nothing too flashy) For a study, two weeks is a bit short. Do you have the option to travel around? I can't see any way of getting bored within to weeks when traveling, both countries offer a lot of things to see.
