News Intel announces renewed AI push

What does the term AI even mean today, to the current and just previous generation it meant a computer system which was complex enough to be sentient, a machine lucid of its own existence and aware, as we each our in our own lives.

Does AI still hold this as its core value, its core explanation of its goal.

How about if one day we invent a truly sentient AI computer system but the by product of doing that is it has the intelligence of Trigger from only fools and horses.
