LucasArts stopped making good games when it laid off its adventure games team, and decided to solely focus on sub-par Star Wars cash-ins. Also, no interest in Star Wars games that aren't based around the universe in the original three films, as I much prefer to pretend that everything Lucas has done doesn't actually exist. Dark Forces and Jedi Knight = good. Old Republic, Clone Wars and prequel-based games = meh. Would much rather have something like Grim Fandango any day. *grumbles like an old man*

    ^ This ...pretty much.

Personally I'd change the article subject to "LucasArts: We haven't made a good game in years".

Agree with arcticstoat and azrael-; Lucasarts died for me the moment they said there would be no more spacae-combat games, a genre which has much potential but is sorely lacking in good games.

    Also in the news:

Titanic having issues in it's maiden voyage, there may or may not have been a collision.

Man attempts to put 2 of each animal on a boat. Is he crazy or will this be the most awesome zoo-cruise ever?

For sure, the industry is missing a good flight space sim playable on windows 7 and to play the old ones requires jigging your pc to get them to run, doesn't seem to be much out there..

Jedi Academy 2 was the last good game they made. That it still has a decent online following now tells you all you need to know.

I'm with the others here - LucasArts hasn't made a really decent game since they decided to just focussing on the Star Wars universe and milking it till it squeaks.

In my mind, The Dig is one of the greatest games ever made. Most Star Wars games don't even come close, certainly none made since the mid-90s.

A message to George Lucas: time to jump off the cash cow, it's starting to smell a bit ripe. :D

They did make some great games Tie fighter and a lot of classic adventure games that don't need mentioning but there have been a few decent games in the mix as well. Personally I spent a lot of time playing star wars supremecy. Although lucasarts only published it so not sure it counts!

A new xwing game would be awesome with modern graphics. Hell, coming to think of it, any space sim would be pretty damned good.

Ditto on Star Wars:Supremecy, its a great staregy game.

Also Ditto on a new X-Wing or Tie-fighter game, I do not understand why they moved away from the space-sim

You guys are forgetting Rogue Squadron, yes as a game it was average for it's time. But still, it was a much improved space sim over Shadows of the Empire.

XWA was good till you realised how out of proportion some of the capital ships were.
