    Hi All
I have managed to get my hands on an old Dell Poweredge 1900 server and was wondering what way I could utilise it to get the most folding points possible. The spec is as follows:

    2 x Xeon 5150 @ 1.6GHZ
    16Gb DDR2 PC5300 ECC RAM
    2 x 320 GB SAS drives
    2 x 250GB scsi hard drives

I am intending on using it as a base for learning VM Ware ESXi 5.1 but I would like to combine that with perhaps making the VM's folding clients as well. Should I use Linux VM's or Windows as I would rather run Linux as I believe that to be the best OS. Meanwhile I shall look at what others are doing in the server folding world for some inspiration. As always thanks for any help provided.:thumb:

    Hi Kirk
Guess I must have the model number wrong, should be the 5110 I reckon I already use Ubuntu on a Phenom X2 555 running the smp client. Will check out the links and thanks for the help.
