Please let it be Fallout 4 rather than next gen versions of Fallout 3/New Vegas, I've had enough HD remakes thanks.

As long as it's more like New Vegas than 3 [even if it's in the same setting as 3], I'll be happy...

^Definitely & it should be with newer consoles to cater for.

3pm UK time today. Can't wait.

I'm hoping for the mechanics of New Vegas with the weapon upgrading and so on with the city ruins setting of Fallout 3. I'd love to see it set right up north near the Canadian border so that there is more input and dealing with The Commonwealth.

I read Boston as a possible rumour a while back.

Looks like someone did some fishing through the websites code and found some details regarding pre ordering.

Looks to be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC, which if true is rather annoying as the PC and next gen versions could very well be hamstrung by the capabilities of the 360 and PS3.
If this is the case, it's probably a safe bet that the game will be running on the same engine as Skyrim

I'd heard Boston as a setting as well; inb4 "More Than a Feeling" on all the promos...

I wouldn't mind New Vegas on the Skyrim engine, I enjoy wandering aimlessly in these games and Skyrim did a pretty good job of making sure interesting things happened during my wanderings.

That's what mods are for, surely?

Mods have worked pretty well so far for making things pretty. Just make sure you have plenty of install space...

All aboard the hype train! Choo choo!

Hopefully they will not use the Skyrim Oblivion Gamebryo engine. As much as I liked Skyrim the game was incredibly prone to crashing and save game corruption due to ridiculous memory limits. Why not use the id tech 5 engine instead, environments in RAGE look awesome.

I will try to not get too hyped, paid mods and all...

Whilst Mods are indeed useful for improving things such as graphical fidelity and adding additional items or quests etc, I was more concerned with the old engines technical limitations, i.e. limiting the size and scale/complexity of the game world itself.

As I understood it the engine used in RAGE had some serious issues with scalability thanks to its use of 'megatextures', although that may have been in relation to the older hardware.
