Fallout 4 megamod So this is my first attempt doing a build log on this site, so bear with me. This build is being done for a customer who is gearing up for the new Fallout 4 release in style! We are heavily modding the case. parts, keyboard, and possibly a mouse if the client wants. I want to say first off, this isn't meant to be a practical build, as I am sure you can tell. That being said, we want this thing to look and feel like something you would find on the streets of downtown Boston in Fallout 4. So here we go. PartsCase: Corsair C70 Vengeance Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth X99 CPU: Intel I7-5930k RAM: 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 2800 MHZ PSU: EVGA Supernova 1300W G2 GPU: 3x EVGA GTX 980Ti OS: Windows 10 Fans: Corsair Quiet series AF/SP 120MM High Performance Fan SSD: Kingston 240gb M.2 PredatorX, 1TB Samsung EVO Tubing: PETG Clear Fittings: Primochill Black Nickel Compression Fittings, ENZOTECH Black 90 degree fittings CPU Water Block: EK Supremacy Biohazard Green GPU Water Block: EKWB 980Ti (not decided on model yet) Pump: D5 Pump Plexi Reservoir: Phobya Black Nickel 250Ml Reservoir, Phobya Black Nickel 150Ml Reservoir And ALOT of miscellaneous mod parts. Phase 1 Starting the "Vault Door" -Our first step was to turn the pull out doors into hinge doors so we could fit our 3d model of the vault door from Fallout 4 into the door, then have the case open as a door. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4g04dlgv5fpvg3e/20150702_152031.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/h9vzy3jh16cx4ul/20150702_155722.jpg?dl=0 - Then primed and hung to wait its turn to be hinged, modded, and painted. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z6q62wuvliljzjf/2015-07-02 16.11.57.jpg?dl=0 Starting the right Panel - On the right panel with the acrylic window, our first step was to get rid of the ugly acrylic plate that comes stock with fan mount holes and ventilation. We ordered a full acrylic plate and sent it to our vinyl man in Florida to have appliques of bullet damage simulated on bulletproof glass applied. Then to make some mock bullet damage on the panel itself. https://www.dropbox.com/s/34fz4xlby1sslgc/IMG_20150702_175722.jpg?dl=0 The Clip Transfomation - We wanted to transform the basic black clips of this case into something more rugged. We grinded the cylindrical shape into a more sqaured off look, and took some of the leftover WW2 gas mask tape and wrapped it around the handle of the clip, we will then apply a spray adhesive, and reattach the clips, the pictures dont show the bandaging yet. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yuar8jfb7xb9r2n/20150702_194044.jpg?dl=0 Priming - Time to prime. This part is pretty self explanatory, but here are some pictures. Phase 2 Working on spray finishes - Neither myself or my apprentice have too much experience with spray effects, so it was obvious we were going to need to practice. That being said, I am very happy with our very first effects. We worked on the final look of the case on a spare metal box we had laying around, and also went ahead and started playing with RAM cage designs. - we sanded it down to bare metal https://www.dropbox.com/s/wxhummjp27dj3j6/2015-07-09 20.02.47.jpg?dl=0 - Then we used a combination of metallic copper, metallic silver, gunmetal, and smoke to create this effect. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2tlhsikx30dmxq2/2015-07-09 20.02.56.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/fk9mylptmfw96dz/2015-07-09 20.02.35.jpg?dl=0 - we knew what we wanted the RAM cages to look liked, but not how to create the effect, so we played around with spray paint until we got what we wanted. - The base RAM https://www.dropbox.com/s/qel6os00t0w2kis/2015-07-09 16.28.46.jpg?dl=0 - First finished cage https://www.dropbox.com/s/7dmcnsr06c506dm/2015-07-09 16.28.41.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/bzfyz5hbnxc1v4n/2015-07-09 16.48.34.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ttinr6rj36n6e2o/2015-07-09 16.48.02.jpg?dl=0 - once we figured out how to create what we wanted, we had to find a way to get rid of those badges and stickers and apply our own custom design (once finished) https://www.dropbox.com/s/xmn9ruxjx885g1v/2015-07-10 08.16.21.jpg?dl=0 - Once we got the badges and unwanted stickers out of the way, it was time to move onto mass production on these bad boys. https://www.dropbox.com/s/r9t1q2fma0pa8b0/2015-07-11 12.01.37.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/55s8xuvoy9os37t/2015-07-11 12.01.24.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/w3uubouosbtm9ne/2015-07-11 12.01.32.jpg?dl=0 Building the custom PSU shroud - Once we saw the red input on the EVGA PSU we ordered, we knew there was NO WAY it would fit with our color scheme, so we decided to make a PSU shroud, not to hide the cables, but to hide the inputs. We wanted some cable showing to give it a post apocalyptic feel. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wl67ghh7q4cr7rh/2015-07-12 16.22.39.jpg?dl=0 MORE TO COME AS IT GETS COMPLETED. THANK YOU
Hello and welcome! Unfortunately none of your pictures seem to be working... I'd suggest uploading them to something like imgur and trying again GK
