Going to be updating my g27 to a Thrustmaster T500 RS because of this game (month end).

Playing in triple screen, wondering if any one has any thing to say about this game?
I am highly impressed by it and have installed one custom map so far.

    F40 sound is amazing.
    Any one playing this?

I'd take that g27 off your hands ;)
I have heard a lot about it and I have a friend who swears by it.

I saw this for £20 in the Steam sale and pulled the trigger. So far I've only given it 20 minutes but the driving model looks fantastic and the game as a whole feels full of potential - Grand Prix Legends for the next gen maybe?

Anyway a quick question... I use a very old MS Sidewinder racing wheel (non force feedback and circa 2002). I find the steering very twitchy, i.e. a slight input on the wheel equals a large input on the screen. It's not obvious how to wind this back (just as it's not obvious how to properly calibrate the pedals for this controller). Any tips?

Cheers, and if anyone is toying with the idea of making this purchase I'd say go for it.

I LOVE AC. Totally love it.

My steam thingy is 'altrezia' - not sure if we can hook up that way, but I bloody love the sim =)

    Mini review:
Not much content (still in beta).
The current content is all fantastic (tracks and cars)
Mods are starting to come in (= more content)
    Gorgeous graphics
    Pretty good sounds
    Great handling
    No damage (yet)
    Good multiplayer
for £15 (as it is today) it's a no brainer. It's set to be a ground breaking sim, imho.

Does changing the degrees of rotation slider on the in game controller setup make any difference?

edit: I've just hooked up my old Sidewinder FF. I set the rotation to 240 in the control settings, and set the Virtual steering wheel rotation limit to 120 in the Options>Video>View tab. That seems to fix the problem. The force feedback actually feels better than my G27.

Its an Awesome game just be warned a 360 controller is not enough for this game I have tested this out on my full wheel setup and the controller. If your just using gamer settings the controller will do the job but once you set it without aids the controller is useless.

It does lack content but that depends on what you want from the game. The rumours are it will never get a single player mode just tracks and cars as dlc extras for $1 each. Once the game actually launches.

Game is currently 0.20 so a long way short of release. No real ground breaking bugs enough some cars seem to really struggle to stick to the track whilst others blast round np. Still in Alpha really.

The Zonda R for example is a real struggle to get it round in any decent time compared to say the p4/p5 inter thing that is there and seems so much easier to get a decent lap time in. Despite them been basically the super similar specced cars.

Some of the cars just seem to need a touch more work going into them is my feelings on it. The lotus 125 stage 3 f1 car is a beast to drive and great fun to boot. You get a true sence of feel as the car grips or spins depending on your skill at the wheel.

By release there should be an awful lot more features - damage, pit stops, more cars/tracks etc. but it seems pretty encouraging to read such positive impressions at an early stage, will probably pick it up. Any recommendations for a cheap racing wheel?

Presenting an interview with the Co-Founder and Lead Developer Stefano Casillo of the soon to be released title from Kunos Simulazioni, Assetto Corsa. Andreas Nie was lucky enough to attend the press event that took place at the Valluenga Racing Circuit located in Campagnano Roma, Italy.

This game is so awesome it keeps my head out of the Dk2 and looking at triple screen, this game is brilliant, I really appreciate this game and hope to one day be able to drive the cars properly.

Just bought SimVibe from Simxperience, it will control the buttkicker.
Should be getting the buttkicker gamer 2 tomorrow, only problem is you need a dedicated 5.1 sound card so I got one of those from scan for Wednesday delivery.

Going to be finding out if a Obutto with a buttkicker is

    1- Awesome
2- Noisy for down stairs neighbours..
    3- What is it like.
Edit: 4 How to sound vibration isolate an Obutto.

    Google, "simvibe", for more information.

Steering input is not sharp enough and if you remove all driver aids like traction control you just slide all over and because of the lack of input and feel you have little in the way of correcting it.

Just one of those games that needs a wheel.

not sure how but my brain provide me the smell of petrol fumes when i was racing down in the lotus I don't even remember thinking about that just the ambiance but then boom I could smell petrol a tiny bit, my brain recalled it from some where and it was added into the game, my brain must have thought its impossible for you not to be smelling it hence I will provoke it ?

    Dk2 tip, really helpful.

Turn off GPU accelerated launcher in general options. Quit AC and then open your My Documents folder > Assetto Corsa > CFG and edit the Launcher.ini file. Change Fullscreen to 0.

Now set your rift as the primary monitor and put the steam client on your main monitor and launch assetto corsa. The menus will now sit on your monitor all of the time. Go into graphics settings and set the resolution to 1920x1080 74Hz and set the mode to Oculus.

When you start a game now it will auto start on the rift. To re-center press CTRL+Space. To exit the session use Alt+F4, this will return you back to the menus on your normal monitor.
