I am looking to add an extra piece of information to the status bar of both the IDLE window and the shell window for Python. I have been having a nose at the idlex extension as this has examples of the information I need and adding text to the status bar. Dont suppose anyone can point me in the direction of information on how to do this? I am looking to add the first line number in the display to the status bar.
