Build Advice CONFUSED?? 7700k vs z270 board

    I was going to buy an MSI Z270 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC motherboard, thing is I read somewhere that z270 motherboards need a bios update to accept the 7700k ??? is this true, as i thought it was made for kaby-lake
    any advice would be great, thanks guys

    No, Z170 needs an update to run KabyLake. Z270 is fine for both Sky/KabyLake.

    If in doubt, go to MSI's webpage and check CPU compatibility.

    Yes any Z270 board will accept the 7700k.
