Waste of dev time imo.

Either do it right or not at all, which I don't think they do.
Personally I think witcher did it in a better way. Done in a completely different manner but not too much in your face and tacky.

Oops. That might spell bad news in my savegame. My Shepherd flirted the crap out fo Williams before leaving her to die. Then slept with Jack, Tali & Miranda & retired to his cabin for some sexy dancing from Yeoman Kelly.
... Thought it was a little overly convenient that nobody got cross with my "hump & dump" ways. Could make teambuilding in ME3 a bit awkward.

I spent ME2 minge teasing the crew then not going with any of them. Seriously, Shepard just came across as a sex pest in ME2.

 

Excellent! I look forward to telling some dude that I just don't swing that way - after all, it seems you have to take the flirty options in ME and ME2 otherwise you end up earning renegade points. I always end up with Ash and Liara bickering in ME and someone getting irate in ME2.

I thought the Asari were essentially shemales / asexual in which case you could have a hom relationship from the very first game no matter what gender you played.

IMO, go gay sure why not. Make sure it works and isn't forced though. Equality yes, politically correct for the sake of it...is another story.

I yearn for a time when this isn't actually news and no one will be angry/surprised that something homosexual exists in a game. Statistically 10% of NPCs you meet would be gay but because it's not integral to the story we never know but if as in Mass Effect romance enters into the story it's only right that it's how the player wants it to be.

Do I say good on Bioware for doing this or do I shame every other developer with equal opportunity to do this but haven't? I just hope they are including it for the right reasons rather than as Baz suggested they are trying to wind up Fox news for some free advertising.
