To cut a long story as short as possible, I need a new business name. There are too many corporations and businesses in the world called Unicorn Systems and it doesn't sit well with me... It hasn't for a long, long time. Since I'm now getting into photography, I'd also like to have a watermark which ties into the business name as well. Also, whilst I won't have it plastered with sponsor logos, the track car might feature a small logo with relation to the business for advertising when on track. I need ideas, or at the very least, inspiration. I have thought about this until my head hurts on some occasions and I never come up with anything remotely interesting or suitable. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
Bring on "Pegasus".. another mythical horse. Or perhaps you can do a little research into some famous stallions and get a name from there?
Again, I'm thinking there'd already be a multitude of names incorporating it, but maybe still keeping the "Uni" part of Unicorn and incorporating that would be feasible? That's all I can think of right now, I'm in a rush to go out.
I was thinking this. Was thinking UniSolutions breaking down into UniSystems and UniPhotos or something like that. My backup was Rainbow Unicorn Systems, with something like this as the logo/watermark. I think no matter what you choose, there will probably be other companies out there with the same name somewhere, and if that's going to bother you I'd stick to your established name.
Unigram. No idea what you're doing, but it incorporates you're favorite two things, unicorns and grammar.
How about a different mythological steed? There are plenty. Tenma - Horse from Chinese Folklore. Arion - Horse from Greek mythology granted immortality and speech by Poseidon. Monocerus is a name given to any 'single horned' animal, normally given to unicorns, rhinos. Gringolet - Sir Gawain's horse from Arthurian legend. Balius and Xanthus - Two immortal horses from greek mythology, offspring of the Harpy Podarge and the God of the West Wind Zephyros. There are many more.
It doesn't have to be a mythical creature but the existence of ideas at all is positive. I drew a blank on this which is why I started the thread and have started asking friends to come up with ideas as well. I like the idea of somehow keeping the 'Uni' part. I like UniSys but it's no good either as that's a global IT corporation. Since Lance has asked and it occurs to me that not everyone reading the thread will know my occupation, I'm trading as an electronics, network and computer engineer. The photography and racing are only hobbies but I want to watermark the photographs with something nonetheless and give the car an identity as well.
Of course, always good to build an image for yourself, and part of the reason I love rally and track cars are all the logos on the liveries.
Keep the suggestions coming guys, I need something pretty quick as things are coming together at the moment which I need a name and identity for!
Right now I'm thinking that you could use a one worded name so that you can link them to each part of your business/ hobbies; e.g- "Name" Systems/Photography. With that I'd still be on the idea of keeping the Uni part of the name even if just to represent the unification of all of these parts of your business. I don't know where I'm going with this either.
I like this idea. Originally I was going with 'Unicorn Systems', 'UniSys Imagery' and 'Unicorn Racing'. Other possible things to tie in are the words 'genuine' (from the days of my community and clan, Genuine Gaming), 'bespoke' and the numbers three and seven. There's got to be something clever you could do with the word 'uni' and the number 3, but I can't think of it.
