I've been playing BFBC2 as of lately. On my new Asus VK246H 1080p gaming LCD.
Even with dual GTX260's in SLI overclocked to Core: 729mhz Memory: 1242mhz x2 and Shader: 1458mhz the game runs a bit sluggish at high details at 1080p.

Rest of My System is as Follows:

CPU: AMD FX-60 dualcore 2.6ghz stock overclocked to 2.9ghz
MOBO: ASUS A8N32SLI Deluxe (full 16x bandwith on each PCI-E slot when in SLI)
    Ram: Corsair 4gb's runing at 205mhz 2-3-3-6
PSU: PC Power & Cooling Quad SLI 750watts - max 830watts (single 12v rail at 60a)
    OS: win7 64bit Ultimate

System kicks the **** out all current games I've played at 1080p, with the new exception of BFBC2.
Runs playable online at 1080p with everything high AF at 16x and AA at 2x with HBAO OFF and Vsync ON.
I know it recommends a quadcore+ cpu and I'm pretty sure my dualcore is holding me back.
I already have a CPU picked out: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

I'm looking for a Mobo that will do SLI with full x16 bandwith on each PCI 2.0 slot and has ddr3 1600 support.
Can you guys help me out? been looking around and I'm having trouble finding the board I'm looking for.

    Thanks

I found that BFBC2 actually runs better with HBAO on...is that weird?

Pretty decent motherboard there that fit's the bill, I wouldnt bother with the 965, drop down to the 955 and just overclock it to save yourself 20 bucks.

You're right in saying BFBC2 is running sluggish due to the processor, especially with 2 GTX 260's hammering away at it throughout.
