    Hi guys,
    I start my new project.

For the project, I had only once order Tool me.

The used material is aluminum and Plexiglas.

This is a case with skeletons of aircraft wings add to that the cooling water (hydro)

    Looks like this

    Here's a first drawing.

On Friday, the postman was was here
    [IMG]

    finishing hammer
    [IMG]

    tail hammer
    [IMG]

    And Ballhammer in different sizes.

Here we go with the toolmaking

First I sewed me a blowing pad or built.

For this I use an old Stretch Jeans.

The only times I have then cut and trimmed.

Then I sewed everything to a fill up hole.

Normally, the cushions are filled with steel balls and leather.

I have the pillow filled with fine sand.

Through the stretch fabric allows the super forms.

Then the first test. Works just fine

Then I have the curvature driven flat.
since one could now mount a button concealed or used as a foot.

Here the clip as I have done the hemisphere against the pad.

Then today I have once made attempts with holes and edges.

For this purpose I have made of tubes and a piece of flat steel a template.

Next, I then drilled a hole in a 1mm hole. The plate I then laid over the stencil.

Importantly this is you exactly in the center aligns the sheet, so that you get a good and consistent edge.

    Now can be sharpened.

So looking from the other side.

With the tail hammer I have folded an outer edge to a rounding.

Recently I still made a straight edge to the plate and finished my specimen

Awesome!:D The hammer has always been the #1 modding tool. I've has some good results using a rubber mat for an anvil. I'd watch out for dust in the future. I fear your bag might start ejecting shocked quartz. -very bad stuff to breathe. It's essentially tiny shards of broken glass.:worried:

No plan to integrate the radiators into the frame?

To the dust I did not think. Then I'm going to use a dust mask.
    Rubber sheets I've also there.
The two radiators are the feet.

One cools the motherboard. the other graphics card

The Table is only an example its no model

Today is the first important part is right for the project.

Many thanks to[IMG] for their support in this project.

Receiving the Foris FS2434 I have

So the baby came to me

The monitor was super packed in Styrofoam.

As accessories were a DVI cable, a USB3 cable for the built-in USB hub, power cable, remote control, Aux jack cable, cable loop, and handbook with drivers and screws for VESA mount.

The base is again packed in the package.

The holder is already screwed factory on the monitor and both are packaged together in a soft bag.

To mount the monitor has done to fix the end of the stand and screw the foot off the wing nut. I like that it no tool is necessary.

    The facilities of the monitor.

2x HDMI, 1x DVI, 2x USB3 Out 1x In, 1x Aux Out in 2x (1x USB ports 1x external beside the display frame and 1x IEC plug with on / off switch.

The monitor has a 2mm wide frame and bottom are installed front speakers.

The height of the monitor can be adjusted from 5 to 11.5 cm.

    o little update .

Today I have placed a old hardware on the monitor .

And I realized that that is so not work , because the motherboard will be too wide and will extend outwardly from the monitor out .

That's why I 've decided to put the main branch all the way outward .

Since I can now install a drive, fan and pump control .

On the flight to Munich , I had an inspiration for the Monitor

The monitor with hardware is attached to a 35mm round tube and be mounted in the main arm with needle bearings .

    Here is the new sketch

Needle roller bearings for the axes

Matching the camps there were a few pipes as axles and bushings

Neat.:D I drew up a test bench using pipe like that once, but it was too expensive to make.:(
I just noticed in your drawing that more than half the case will be suspended/floating. I like that a lot.

    Long time ago.
Yesterday I finished my major project.
Actually I wanted to work in parallel on hydrofoil. But unfortunately this was not possible.
    But now it's on.
Here, a part of the hardware which is employed.

    Lighted CPU Cooler

    Two Pacific P1 pumps
Some of the connections will I lay and weld.

Two Pacific R 360 slim radiators.
Both are converted to a stand.

    6 Riing RGB fan

I then screwed the same times on the radiator.

and last but not least the power supply.

    So back to the beginning

I will build yet so as the 1st draft. will make the base a free space for the motherboard.

I spent with planning, arrangement and design of the week.

This was then converted into CAD today.

This is the side part. The rectangular side part in the width and height of the motherboard. Below are the outlines of the monitor.

From this I then generates the cutting template for the sheet.

The base: top a bearing for the pivot comes in and below the power supply

So then the housing looks from the side.

Then i could start wirth the first side panel

First, I have the drawings 1: 1 printed.

I then stuck a beechwood plate.

The mask made of wood is the template which I exaggerating the sheet.

I have then cut out with a jigsaw and sanded flush with the belt sander.

On the back I have countersunk holes drilled to sink the screw heads.
With the screws, the sheet is fixed on the wood.

In the next step I cut the sheet.

Now I could clamp the sheet metal on the mask and start the blowing work.

Then I was able to solve the sheet from the stencil.

The cuts to the radii I will weld and grind plan.

Yesterday, the work went off at the holes.

First I made the template for the traction work.

As a material I have beech glued panels taken

With a hole saw I drilled the holes in and the edges rounded.

Then I worked with the balls hammer the wells.

So looks the part after the trimming and welding of.

With the small hole, the material could not be far upsetting that I get out the 15mm height.

so I had to make there surfacing. That was really a cramp because the material by driving only 0.5-1mm you had. But it worked.

Now I could make and weld the lid

In the next step I have worked out the holes and welded.

    So it looks.

Now it came to determining the content.

Empty weighs the side member / Reservoirs 208g

    full 455g

So the volume of 247ml are Reservoirs.

Which is still slurred nice then it goes to the second panel.

    Long time ago.
Once short dusting the thread and it goes on.
In the last few days I've been working at the Mainform for the mainstay.
I have a scale of the drawing that you created earlier: I printed it in 1:1.
This was so big that I had to be printed on two A3 sheets

Here again the direct comparison with the Monitor

In the workshop we went to the implementation.

The expressions I've stuck together with glue and glued it on hardwood.

With the jigsaw, I then cut out the shape.

For the openings I then drilled with the drilling machine table, the central axes.

Next, the template was placed by the side parts to see whether the curves fit to the pivot point.
    Yes they fit.

Now the outer edges can be honed and rounded.

The two pieces of wood, I then again stopped at the monitor to see the proportions .

Next, it will then go back to form the Stand out of a plate.

Wow man craftmanship. I am in!

I really like the airplane wing design desk. I bet loads of people would love to have one just with bare metal and plexi without a PC on / in it.
