    Cpu: I5-2500K - £135 from CEX
Mobo: Asus P8B75-M LX PLUS Micro ATX LGA1155 - £46 from Ebuyer
    Ram: 1333hz 4gb - £15 from CEX
GPU: AMD Radeon 6870 - £98 from CEX
    PSU: Corsair 430W ATX12V - £37 from Dabs

I'd say try and find a P67 or Z68 motherboard if you can. You can pick them up second hand for around the same price as that B75 board.
You could save money on the case. You can buy an awesome case for around £50.

You can also get new a HD7850 for £120, and it is 15-20% faster than a 6870 I believe and you can overclock it much further.

Yes, try and get a different GPU, I saw a GTX580 on the marketplace here for about £100. You might have to stretch your budget a little but it'd be worth it :) also an SSD would be a worthy upgrade later on. You might also want to get a different CPU cooler other than the stock one because it can be noisy, especially when under load of course.

PS you might have to check if the PSU is compatible, I would but I'm on my phone at the moment.

Depending on postage its usually cheaper to shop in one place btw.

Scan used to do a free postage deal for bit tech members think it still runs.

If he can get to 80 posts he would save cash in the market place. Antec 300, £25 inc. postage.
