Hello, Everyone and welcome to my project logs for ''Sesto Elemento'' What is Sesto Elemento ? Sesto Elemento (Sixth Element) is based on the Lamboghini Sesto Elemento. The engine cover is my main focus, after i seen that, i knew i had to incorporate it into a build. What's the plan ? The plan is to successfully create a watercooled system, that doesn't require any radiators. how ? The whole front of the case will be one large custom reservoir with multiple holes for air to travel through. Also 1 or 2 air pumps pumping cold bubbles into the base of the reservoir attempting to keep the coolant cool. The case i'll be using will be stripped down, to just the frame and glass window. All panels will be custom made, custom legs, custom grills etc etc. PSU Shroud will also have water channels and the system will be a duel loop sharing the same large res. Case arrived and i Started work, by stripping back the case to it's underwear. More updates will come in the following days Thanks for looking
Slow progress as i wait for most of the parts to arrive. Today the legs arrived, so i've been test fitting them. Will post as much as i can as soon as things start to arrive. Thanks for looking.
Cablemod Cable arrived Bought these during the Easter sale, got the whole lot for £40 inc shipping. Bargain! more to follow, thanks for looking
Acrylics arrived today, so i can begin work on the panels and front reservoir! Be slow progress, as i still have to do all the mapping with the software before i actually do the cuts. Check back later for updates Thanks for looking.
Little update today Top panel has been cut and I've fitted the legs to allow air to escape. The orange is frosted,m while will glow when the LED's are on, inside the case. Will angle cut the edges and bolt the top to the frame.
I bolted the top panel to the frame, and used screw (black) covers, to keep things sleek. I also had a quick test with the lights, made sure it glowed right. I'll now drill some holes behind the Aorus logo, and put in a couple of 2.5mm white LEDS. That should complete the top panel.
So we started work on the Reservoir today. It's going to take 8 hours to cut. *Crys* 35mm thick, lazer at 50% power and speed at 0.5. We don't wanna go too fast, or use too much power as it could melt the acrylic back together after cut, Nice and easy does it.
Special thanks to ALPHACOOL for the massive support. These guys have bent over backwards to help me out on this. huge props lads! Unboxing and overview video will be available later tonight. Thanks for looking.
Reservoir update! I had to completely re-design the reservoir due to sizes and limitations on the inlet and outlet ports. So first of all i plotted the design on the computer And got to work on the acrylics Once they were cut, i took the covers off and placed them together. I then bolted them together to test fit and get a peek at what it will look like when finished! And i am in love! II really hope this works! lol Air pump and fittings are next to be attached, so fingers crossed!
Just a quick update. It works. And it performs on par with a normal custom loop. If not a little better. I was sceptical, but last night was my first test and now i can't wait to share results. So. First test was idle, because for some reason people like that 27c Second. 2 and a half hours of ESO on max settings and 5760x1080 (ESO is because it's pretty intensive on the CPU) peaked at 48c third test was the big one AIDA64 extreme system stability test With results that wow'd me, here they are In the first 20+ minutes it hovered around 55-57c After 70minutes it never moved above 60c. i would have left for longer than 70 minutes, but was no need, i got the results i wanted to see. here's a short clip of the test at 17 minutes in. I will follow up on this post soon with more details on how everything works, including a video which will describe everything better than i can with pictures and text.
Been a while since i've updated, been waiting for the GPu and RAM to arrive. (RAM is only new to the market) So i ordered some stainless steel 16mm OD tubing, and cut it all down to size. Fitted and tested how it all looks GPU Should be arriving this week, so i can begin work on the shroud and finish the main looks of the project. For now, i'm very impressed with how things are taking shape, and appologize for the massive delay in updates. - Craig
the Might Gigabyte AORUS 1080Ti Waterforce WB Xtreme edition has arrived! Check out this beast Link to buy - Link to more info -
update, Been working on the shroud, and getting things ready for the rest of the loop to be installed. Still need to align the shroud, it's currently sitting at an angle. Will update later when it's darker to see lights
Quick update* GPU has been fitted and looking really sharp! I love the stainless steel and black together.
Updates getting finishing touches done, while waiting for the reservoir to re-seal (Still not happy with it, but it'll have to do) Changed the white on teh shroud to orange, added a top rght corner with aorus logo (i'll probably change that later to black and orange). Waiting for a few more things to arrive (RAM) and then i should be good to release final photo's, video and most importantly, results of the tests.
Well.. loop is filled and running smooth. Currently running with a 280mm radiator right now, as the i wait for the coolants to arrive which are now heavily overdue due to stock (mayhems pastel white)
The RAM is here! And by god is it pretty! Fits this project perfectly, also look at how close the tube run is! I had to adjust the height of the top run to squeeze in the RAM, but it's in now and working Specs: 2x8GB DDR4 @3000mhz Team Group T-Force NightHawk RGB White
Sooo.... We ran into complications with the custom res and bubble cooling. While it works 100% well with the CPU only, it really didn't like the 1080Ti included. In fact, the reservoir split in the bottom after 4 hours of stress testing. So i had to quickly re-think some things to get this project done as fast as possible. While the idea for bubble cooling may be a bust, the design idea is still in play. From Alphacool The Eisbecher Lite 250mm reservoir I'm using Mayhems pastel orange coolant for this The NexXxoS XT45 420MM Radiator And those fittings you see are the Alphacool Eiszapfen angled adaptor 90° rotatable I changed out the legs to something much much better and more fitting. But i'll reveal them later this week with the finished build.
