Welcome to Project TRON - By Nitrix @ Aquatuning!

    What is project Tron?

Project Tron is the name of Aquatuning's latest watercooled demo machine, Attendees to the i-series LAN events will be used to see amazing fully modded PC's on our stand and being used by our staff:

This year is no different as we work on plans for i43 a new demo machine is needed!

I'm sure you have guessed by now but the PC will be TRON themed - lots of watercooling, lots of cool lighting and yes we will be using the Razer Tron mouse and keyboard (shock) :)

    The Sponsors

We would firstly like to say a massive THANK YOU to our sponsors:

    INTEL - CPU/MOBO/SSD's :eeek:
    XSPC - H2 Tower Case
    Crucial - Memory
    Bequiet - PSU
Phobya - Watercooling / Aquatuning :thumb:

    More to be added ;)

    The Plan:

To make this case extra special we will be firing up the laser cutter and getting messy with acrylic!

Stay tuned for more update and first designs

Ok guys time for a little update and thanks to the following sponsors: Intel, Crucial and XSPC as your sponsored items arrived this week as you will see below :)

Some nice Crucial tracer ram - as you can expect this build will have quite a few lights in it so these fit in perfectly :)

The Motherload from Intel which includes the following:

    Processor: 990x i7 EXTREME!!
Motherboard: DX58S02 - as you can see the skull design from the extreme range will play a part in the build ;)
    SSD's: 2 x 250GB 510 series

Free stickers with the SSD's - WIN!

The Case from XSPC - new guys in the case market but i can say im very impressed with the build quality of the case (yes it comes flat packed - scroll down a bit.

Case accessories - bay covers and ssd holders :)

Finally the Epic mouse itself :) I was very impressed with the packaging of the mouse and pad but after £110 you would want to be! Here’s few shots of the box opening.

This was an interesting find - etched acrylic with the razer and tron logo etc. Cut down abit this could fit well in the mod :)

The light trail pad - will take a video of this in the dark at some point as the mouse leaves a trail as you move it!

Back to the case as i said before the case comes flat packed, if you were wondering how that was possible this is how:

Although it looks like a rather large jigsaw its actually very easy to put together and has an advantage for the modders as its easy to mod/laser/replace the flat panels the case is made out of you will see me do this later in the mod.

    Semi built

Now an insight in to the early design rough cuts and logo placements - we have a new way of lighting the case that we are going to test in this mod. I’m going to hopefully confirm some patterns for the case then get them lasered and then back them up with some special acrylic and lights.

    Short update:

We had a few technical issues when trying out a new lighting system (same as in the actual film) so unfortunately this has led to the case being redone.

It is currently being re-worked and we should have some updates shorty!

Also they can do a sample for around £50 which is a little expensive but you do get bragging rights over using the same lighting that was actually used in the film :)

    P.S thanks for the rep
