Hi, I just ordered a Thermaltake Frio, I'm wondering if the fans that comes with it are better or worse than my Noctua NF-S12B FLX fans when it comes to cooling and noise. I got all the Noctua fans running with the black "speed reducers" and I'd like to keep it at that noise level.
I personally don't like the Frio... More plasticky products from Tt... I bought one for my i7 920 a while ago and had it on for about a week, then changed back to my Titan Fenrir. It cools well I just didn't like how it looked or the cheap plastic cover or the fact that the fans are not PWM.
the thermaltake frio is pretty good with my overclocked i7 950 cools really well and is very quiet with the fans turned down to low
A fan controller on each fan is a nice feature. The reason i question the fans is that the previous thermaltake fans i have had, haven't been any good. Two of them started crackling after a few months and had a terrible air to noise ratio. From my research i found the Nocuta fans to be the best option when i bought them since the shops here are kinda limited in what they have in stock.
