Hi Guys, Very simple brief this one; I need a case that will fit a 6990 (approximately 12 inches long!) Give me your suggestions and I shall do the leg work! +rep for whoever picks me a good one Michael p.s. Input from anyone who has one of these cards wedged into their chassis would be much appreciated too.
A 650D would be adequate. I have one and I can safely say that a 6990 will fit. There is plenty of room.
Silverstone Raven RV02/Fortress FT02. Both of which will provide some phenomenal cooling for the card. (It will fit, Btw. Just. Example. )
Haha the definition of 'snug'. Some good suggestions so far guys... That Obsidian is looking tempting... Along similar lines, would a Coolermaster ATCS 840 do the job? http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2008/10/31/cooler-master-atcs-840-classic-review/1
Does mean that AP181 is blowing straight into the heatsink. Insta-cool. Apparently that card never spins up, because the Case Fan keeps it so quiet.
Xigmatek Elysium? More for watercooling though. If you can't find one to fit as you want, the only option really is to give me the 6990 and you can have 1 one of my 5770s in return. A fair deal in my opinion
never have been a fan of nzxt. i dont think their cases are veyr good quality or well made. i prefer antec, corsair or coolermaster personally some of nzxt's designs (like the phantom) look great (and actually, got a good review on bit-teh) but from my own experiences i dont like nzxt
