You can get info about the status of all the servers by going to http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html. If the server your client is trying to reach is down, it sometimes helps to shut it down and restart in 30 seconds (30 seconds makes sure it has cleared from memory), which can get you connecting to a different server.
