    sooo anyone else seen it?

Got a bit freaked out at seeing the format all aussie'd up but it seemed to make sense. Some how get the feeling they're trying too hard to stick with the exact show layout.

Presenters all seem ok, although what place a cartoonist has on the show I don't know.

If anyone wants to see it and cant source it.... it can be provided just ask

Watched it and was surprised at just how close to the true version they kept it but the presenters were terrible. The one that is meant to replace the hamster should be shot on sight.

I've lived in australia all my life, and that was the first time i think i've ever seen those three guys. They weren't funny, they looked like cheap immitations of the original top gear presenters, and there are heaps of good hosts available that could have filled the slots well. Everything from radio hosts to people involved with motorsport, or other tv celebrities like rove, hughesy, hellier, etc...

They weren't funny at all, they did an ok job when they where serious but this was basically a carbon copy of the British version minus the part that makes it entertaining. They even tried to clone James May! You'd think they'd try to put a little spin on it, but no.

However we must remember that Hammond and Richard and James where not the original staff, these things can take awhile so eventually this may be an acceptable show. The filmography's not as great either, BBC's really got some great cameramen, but only at home base. Here's to the debut of the US version being a little better.

Only watched that, it seems alright, but you can't beat our presenters, so the problem is, if you can't beat something, then try a different route all together, or you'll fail. :)

it seemed so nearly there in terms of being top gear, but there forcing the top gear comedy and style which sends shudders down my spin.

clarkson, hamster and may actually hate each others guts and thats what make top gear great because they can laugh at each other.

they have copied the top gear recipe and come out with a burn't meal that looks a little odd, same goes for 5th gear

Watched about 20 mins - Charlie Cox or whatever his name is is actually a good presenter, and the beardy bloke has a decent enthusiasm although he needs more practice to camera. The 'tash guy can GTFO out - useless and annoying.

Studio cameramen need to be given a lesson in holding a ****ing camera steady too. :grr:

Ah, Top Gear. They showed the UK version on The Discovery Channel for about a year. I really liked it, but for some unknown reason it was dropped in favor for another show...which I hated. I didn't know they had clips of the show on Youtube. I'll have to check it out.

Hated the Art direction of the show, that's where the beeb's version easily outshines any of the copy cats. The presenters are ok tho.

Watched it earlier. Good that they've kept the format, will be interesting to see how the series develops.

I like Charlie Cox, was a half decent privateer in the British Touring Cars in the early 90s and does commentary for BBC coverage of the MotoGP. Beardy bloke seems OK, I'll reserve judgement on the 'tashed shark attack victim until I've seen a couple more.

Oh and the track seems bobbins!

I'm hoping that they've learned they need a little originality with the presentation, and they'll carry that lesson over here. Maybe even hire some cameramen from the Discovery channel or something. Or maybe.. they'll do something original but stupid like make the track oval or something, akin to nascar, ugh.

This shames me, being an Aussie and all , on behalf of my country i apologise for them royally screwing up such an epic show :p

but like was mentioned above it took the original a while to find its grove so heres hoping it will improve with age!
