My landlord just called me asking for help with Thunderbird. Apparently he opened it to send an email and was greeted by a unified folders dialogue followed by prompts to set up a new email address or add an existing account. His previous account seems to be gone. The profiles folder only contains one profile which seems to be a new one (it's only about 2.5MB in size). The last time he used it everything was fine and he tells me he's not done anything with it since. Has anyone heard of this happening before? Any suggestions to possibly salvage his data? I assume there's not much to be done unless there's another place it might keep profile folders I'm not aware of.
