I have just bought a silver lian li V2110, and I have no idea what to do with it. So I was hoping to get some suggestions. It was a complete impulse buy as it was a absolute bargain, and I always wanted a V2000 case.

I don't really have any money to put into this project, I can free up some money for it. But i do have some old water cooling gear I could use. I was thinking quad rad in the bottom.

But I could do with a reason for having another huge lian li case. I was maybe thinking of VPN/NAS server type thing.

Also ideas on what I should do to the case would be good.

    Thanks.

i'll pm you my postal adress - send it here :)
    basic modding not very $$
window, 3m carbon tape, fans with led etc...
main thing IMHO is basic idea: military, fallout-ish, racing car, themed build and so on.

I could use a huge case for my quad socket, but I'm really after a RV01. Hard to find those things. That CM case would work well though, Nexxo, you can just send it to me.

    Scan still sells the RV01.

I'm looking to sell my ATC-S4000 to finance my next build, but it ain't a cheap case...

I still have an Akasa Eclipse 62, Antec 300 and Lian-Li PC-B25F all BNIB, also a "spare" used FT02-R waiting to be modded! Slight backlog of mods there :worried:

I also have a antec 900 and lian li a70 which all needs doing. I also forgot to mention my current case lian li a05 which needs water cooling.

The lian li V2110 came up, and well at £10 it was rude not to.:p

But at least I have a plan for the antec 900 and a05.

Ah yes, one of my own A05-NB cases (ex-Mankz actually!) still needs to be liquid cooled and chassis coated as well. That's probably first on the list because of the simplicity - I had pretty much decided to go with an AIO cooler for it instead of a full liquid cooled system, although I do still have a massive amount of 10mm BP compression fittings and 10mm hose which would go very nicely in it to silently cool a Sandy Bridge i5. One of my "gig rigs" - a top end 775 based monster in its day, housed in a "road worn" Antec 300, also needs some minor cosmetic mods like powder coat on the chassis and maybe some lighting and a top mount window to make it stand out from the crowd. I refuse to repaint the exterior or address the dents though. Those add lots of character ;)

Too many projects, too little free time!

Was thinking of something like this
    [IMG]

How hard is it to a anodize paint job your self? My case is silver.

I'd just get the anodising done by a company. It's not something that you can easily do at home with consistent results, especially large parts. And there are some really nice, subtle colour variations available these days.

I won't bother then, it is too expensive for me. Need to find another colour scheme then.

Decorative anodising is definitely an expensive process. To get three finned (google it) 3D Maglite heads re-anodised was going to cost me over £150 3 years ago :(

Vinyl blag if you want a cheap but good new look, so many different types including coloured chromes, coloured 3d carbon fibers & heaps of gloss, satin, matt plain/textured colours, metals, wood, stone, you'll be spoilt for choice. :)

Research on how to do it well, heaps of good guides out there. ;)
