I think my previous best was around the 2900 mark, but might have to see what I can get now, if I decide to push my chip and see what it's max stable speed is.
Even with my CPU at 5.2ghz, I just cannot get past 2904 points. Not sure if the link will work or not because it doesn't seem to be opening for me. http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/5513/cpcbenchmarks.jpg Score Breakdown Image Editing: 2400 points Video Encoding: 4379 points Multitasking Testing: 1932 points Overall Score: 2904 points Not sure if having Realtemp and CPU-Z would have made much difference either. PC Spec is in my sig.
My board is the Asus P8Z77-V Pro. I keep toying with the idea of getting some higher speed ram but not to sure yet, as when I will probably get round to it I will probably be upgrading anyway.
Nice one, will keep a eye out when I have some money spare for some low latency high speed ram. What Ram are you using??
Wow that is difficult to get hold off. Might have a play with my ram see if I can get it to drop the latency down.
Well up to now I may possibly be getting some money this week that would hopefully enable me to either get better ram, or change to Sandy Bridge E but not sure yet.
That GSkill memory is rare but pretty much any Hyper-based kit will do 2133MHz 8-8-8 and they come up on ebay quite often, especially the triple channel Corsair Dominator 2000MHz 8-8-8 kit (CMG6GX3M3A2000C8). Nothing produced these days comes close to what Hyper ICs are capable of.
Finally cracked the 3K with a score off 3092 points CPU @ 5.0ghz Speedstep off Ram @ 1866mhz 9-9-9-24-2 Tried at 5.1ghz and 8-8-8-24-2 but it just BSOD Think I am going to give benching a rest for now, as I don't think I am going to get any better without spending shed loads of cash.
Yeah but as I say I am going to give it a rest for a while. Once I have finished putting the money aside for the suits for my brothers wedding, and I have decided to pay some extra money on to his honeymoon so him as his future wife can have, a real good weekend away since they have not had a chance to have much time away since having there little girl, and he works 6 days a week 12 hours each day. Plus I feel he deserves something nice after everything he has been through since leaving the army so I do what I can for him. Once all that's dealt with I am saving for a full rebuild which I think I will be ready for in time for Haswell-E.
