    Hello all

Ok, im currently considering buying COD4, but only for the MP side of it. I have been playing the BETA of BFBC2 and it just aint doing it for me, so leaving me with £30 to buy a game

I do own MW2 but been considering COD4 for a bit

Any of you have any opinions good or bad on this game, or even reccomend a good game(prefer FPS)

    Let me know:rock:

Yes Mr Happy, if you buy COD4 on PC via Steam, you'll get the map packs - they were integrated into a patch which is, as usual, auto downloaded via steam.

Punkbuster is a POS. Did you buy it from Steam? I seem to remember it has a problem with the Steam overlay (even if you don't use it), so you have to disable it before launching the game (as well as other things which have an overlay like FRAPS) so it doesn't kick you. At least that was the problem I had last time I tried to play it.

Yes disable all background overlay programs. Even ATi Tray tools doesn't work with PB.

With that said the Multi-player is excellent, P90 and LMG campers aside, the game is still to this day quite fun.

    Hi

Well just a quick update, I solved my PB issues and to narrow it down it was STEAM fooking thing up (god to think i bought it from the place that offers no fix) . Well, i am glad i got this game, i play now and again, but it offers a fresh change, and i do enjoy it, and not blowing my own trumpet but im regurarly near the top

    Cheers peeps

it's a good game and leveling is pretty addictive, which makes it even more fun. Once I got the Golden AK47 and Dragunov however I lost the will to play. It was definitely worth the 60$ I paid when it came out :)
