Npower to pay £26m over billing and complaint failures.

Yet another example of these toothless bodies which usually begin with Of. This is a meaningless fine and absolutely, as with the banking frauds no one is held accountable, pointless as in no way does it punish anyone. I should think that the fine in the first instance will be picked up by share holders before eventually being passed on to the customer. And of course senior management will enjoy the large bonuses and clap each other on the back for getting away with yet another massive failure.

Simple question why is no one ever responsible in these massive company's when failures or frauds occur?

Primarily because the regulator has to prove it beyond reasonable doubt, which is very hard to do.

So the so called regulator knew enough to impose a fine but not enough to prosecute? Most strange.
Even more so with the bankers as it is always reported that banks did this or the banks did that almost as though it were artificial intelligence conducting these frauds and failures big companies continue to get away with.

Are these regulations laws though? You probably have to comply with them to operate as a business in a regulated field. But breaching them might not be an offence as such.

Perhaps not in the case of Npower but the bankers certainly committed fraud.

Problem is that the finicial fraud that bankers carried out so complex that anyone smart enough to to figure it out works for the banks.

If your clever enough to to understand what they did then are ypu A going to work for the bank earning millions or work of r the police/FBI earnings less than hundred thousand.
