Yes, yes, and more yes. I like the fact that they're keeping the music and art style from Doom 3. Jeez, just thinking back....Doom 3 was such a massive leap forward in gaming.
My only worry is it will be too slow. It's not Doom unless ten minutes play leaves your pupils fully dilated and your face twitching in the corner.
Hell yes! People gave it such a bad rating but I really enjoyed it. Urban, Rock, and that first person view after he wakes up from taking the 24th chromosome=Brilliant!
I played the closed Alpha (Wolfenstein purchase) It doesn't play as well as it looks but I remain hopeful.
Yes. The Doom film was a perfect example of why I think film critics are idiots: they all hated it, but I enjoyed watching it a lot more than many supposedly "Five Star" films... It wasn't meant to be Dostoevsky or Marcus Aurelius... it was supposed to be an action film. It did what it set out to do there. Just ignore the science, because like most science in films/TV... it was just accurate enough to really make it all the more obvious and painful where they got it wrong. ... Looking forward to this game.
Problem is that view was for like 2 minutes of an otherwise distinctly meh film. Make that most the film and I would be interested in a new one
So this looks like a cross between the original Doom (mayhem, carnage and rooms full of critters to shoot at) and Doom 3 (great graphics when you could see them). There seems to be a bit of Dead Space style stomping and character death dismemberment thrown in as well, looks promising but we'll see what happens when its finished.
