I want to get my partner a camera for Christmas but haven't got a clue what to go for. Ideally looking for a good point and click camera but also has the option for good manual settings. Got a budget of around £200, and don't want anything to big, Sent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk
Sony Cyber-shot HX60 allows manual control, has an exposure comp dial, and is within budget. Also just over budget (by £19 at WEX) is the slim pocket friendly Fujifilm XQ1. It hasn't got as much range in terms of zoom but it is a quality little camera. It should have the Sony beat for image quality. http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/sony_cybershot_dsc_hx60v_review/ http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/fujifilm_xq1_review/
Sony RX100 is pretty much the best in your budget. http://www.eglobalcentral.co.uk/sony-cybershot-dsc-rx100-digital-camera-pal.html
^ I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Fuji XQ2 currently on offer on Curry's outlet eBay store. "New other" (open box, as new, 12mnth warranty) for £189. A cracking little camera for the money. http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eB...3059&category=31388&pm=1&ds=0&t=1444754027206
Quite liking the hx60v with wifi and is £179 so I'll have some change left over for a case, I'll keep looking tho Sent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk
Eglobal fall down on every point one should look out for when buying from an online retailer. Don't touch, even with a very long bargepole.
Another vote for the RX100 here, fantastic point and shoot! I think I paid over £200 for it but got some cashback from Sony also.
So im pretty much set on the Sony HX60V now, what about SD cards? is there any need to buy expensive ones or will any branded class 10 one do the job?
