2x GK110's (Titans), 2x 6GB VRAM, $3000 US, Triple Slot Cooler, Outside the PCI-E limitations on power consumption. Absolutely Nuts. http://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2014/03/25/titan-z/ http://wccftech.com/nvidia-annouces-worlds-fastest-geforce-gtx-titan-dual-gk110-cores-2999-price/
I've spent crazy money on stuff for my PC's but will never go this far. i'd take it of you gave to me yes lol but hell $3000 that is nuts
It's not being seen as a gaming GPU. The keynote made no reference to gaming performance and only leveraged the popularity of Titans GPU compute popularity. $3k is dumb which ever way you look at it. just buy 3x Titan Blacks. J.
Yes and No. Titans Z takes 3 Slots where the equivalent dual Titan in SLI takes 4 slots. In small cases or on boards with only 1 PCIe-16x (like most server board), this is going to be great. It's clearly aimed at Tesla users, delivering better perfs for the same price (Tesla K20 already costs 4000€).
I know it's aiming at quadro/tesla territory [in specs and price]... But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want one...
Drop it in this Tyan S5533, LGA1150 mITX serverboard, with a Xeon and some ECC ram ... I'm already drooling
And so the 790 drops in... Awesome, a technological masterpiece. A card for the 4K era. To those who doubt the price, I don't think Nvidia will expect to sell many - it's just a 'because we can' card. I'm eager to see the overall heat output of this. The 7xx series coolers are excellent but there has to be a limit to their abilities!
Sweet. I'll probably get one for the HTPC..... Jokes aside, as others have said, this is not a card marketed at gamers.
Its like godwins law of Bit-Tech. As a thread about ridiculous hardware grows longer, the probability of true gamers name appearing approaches 1.
Which site is going to be first to offer up a Titan Z SLI review? Best introduction to a new GPU ever...
