Welcome to my build log – A fully watercooled black & blue themed build housed in a slightly modified 900D. What I want to achieve with this build ? A big massive looking build. Something heavy, with a lot of fittings. Industrial heavy machine style ! By the way, my name is greg, I am 36, and I currently live in France. Let's get this started ! Hardware parts : - Case : Corsair 900D - Motherboard : Asus Rampage IV Black Edition - CPU : Intel i7 4930K - RAM : 6 x 8Go G.Skill Trident X 2400Mhz - Video cards : GTX Titan SLI (Gainward) - Capture card : Avermedia Live Gamer HD (C985) - PSU : Corsair AX1200i 80PLUS Platinum - Screen : LG 34UM95-P – Ultrawide 21:9 - Bluray Recorder : Asus BW-16D1HT - Sound Card : Asus Essence STX II + Beyerdynamic MMX300 headset - Hard drives : SSD Samsung 850 pro (512 Gb) + SSD Samsung 840 pro (256 Gb) + SSD Samsung 830 (256 Gb) And of course i will fully watercool this build. A list of what i plan to use : - 2 pumps (laing D5) : one loop for the CPU, motherboard and RAM / the other for the graphic cards - An aquaero 6 XT to control fans & temps in the case via PWM - A mix between XSPC, EK and Alphacool for the waterblock / rads (1 rad 480mm, 1 rad 360mm, 1 rad 240mm and a 140mm). I will explain later. - Acrylic tubes from Primochill & Bitspower - A ton (and I mean a TON) of fittings (EK, Primochill, Bitspower) - Black acrylic midplate, motherboard tray cover, backplate and front face (made by coldzero). - AX1200i sleeved cables (mdpc-x sleeves) black & magic blue. - Corsair Fans (14 fans : SP120,AF120,AF140). - Sleeves from MDPC-X (Thx Nils). --------------------------------------------------------------- 900D is so HUGE ! Corsair Ax1200i One of the graphic card Black Mate paint on the graphic cards bracket Avermedia Live Gamer HD - Black mate bracket Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 XT Aquacomputer Real Time Clock expansion module for the aquaero 6 Aquacomputer Poweradjust who will be in charged of the D5 pumps Here is the motherboard (Asus Rampage IV Black Edition) with full nickel CSQ waterblock from EK
The motherboard tray (E-ATX) for the Rampage IV BE and the 900D made by Patuga from Coldzero The best tool to pierce large hole through acrylic The midplate That motherboard is really sexy. So many features! First drilling through the case. This radiator is an EK XTX360 I use Bitspower pass-through fittings on the midplate and the motherboard tray cover The two D5 pumps with black cover A close look to the waterblock. Why the CSQ one? I really don’t know 140mm slim radiator to the left. It will be plugged into the 360 At the bottom the 480mm Monsta radiator from Alphacool. A very big radiator; in the end so much trouble for me. I tried my best to clean without any results (i tried the mayehms cleaning kit). In the end i replaced it with a RX480 from XSPC
Circles … circles everywhere. I love them and i know some don’t. Taste and colours are not always the same Fittings for the connection between the CPU + MB pump and the pass-through Some of the fittings from my previous build I will use and acrylic tube between the 2 ram blocks so I can see the liquid going through
Next batch of pictures First try with acrylic tube Temperature sensor under each reservoir Here you can see the sli bridge cover, the right panel with the Out of Mana logo (with backlight under) Back of the case Fan sticker design
Lots of fittings ! First leak test is a success Corsair SP120. Quite loud at maximum RPM but very quiet at lower speed Lighting test inside the reservoir. I used 2 monsoon premium led for this
Love the blue. The long extension fittings are definitely different. I would personally like to see more of the nice blue tubing.
Yhank you for the comment I understand it's very different (i tried to achieve something different). I will perhaps change some extender to classic acrylic tube in the near future. I used black tubing at the back
