Despite being a semi-big diablo fan iI have been unable to play D3 (Afghanistan is a bit*h lol). howevere I have been looking at it since it came out and I have a few question about the game.

1)how is the game play Iv seen mixed reviews both good and bad.
2)is the monk class as bad as iv read?
3)if the monk an ok class can they dual shields to maximize the defenc/dex boost?

I've played it briefly at a friend's place, so I can only answer question one:
I'd say Diablo 3 is a decent game :D More leaning towards good than bad :)

It's a great game mostly. I hated the boss fights though, cut scene after cut scene to make them longer. Much prefered the way it works in most other games: When the boss has no health left it dies.

The social aspect of the game is great though, the private loot and the way instances and party play work are awesome.

May I suggest Path of Exile, it's free and very good as well imo, but much harder.

buy both its what i did.

Diablo 3 has a much better story than torchlight 2. for what its worth.

but you can mod torchlight 2 and it becomes a lot of fun.

Diablo 3 is a better game than TL2 in my opinion, as it generally has higher production values and I stopped playing TL2 after my first run through, whereas I played diablo 3 through I think 4 times.

However, it does become very much a gear grind at the higher levels, so I tend to just make a new character at around lvl 40.

Probably the best thing about the two of them is the experimentation that takes a long while to 'perfect'.

Not as silly as you might think. The ps3 version sounds like its going to be better than the pc version.

Supposedly no RMAH but i can't remember where I read that.

IMHO, Diablo 3 is junk. Played Diablo 2 to death, with maybe 20 different characters and builds. I haven't even completed a single run through on D3.

Does seem like a good local co-op PS3 experience though, and may get it just for when my mates are over and we want to trash some ****.

yeah, if you want a hardcore and versatile ARPG, go for Path of Exile, if you want a slightly more relaxed game, go for TL2.

Diablo III is really fun for the first run, but after that it gets rather dull (especially at inferno, where it's basically grinding money to upgrade gear at the AH)

Poe been still beta makes it difficult to recommend as you will have to start again come release.

They're not wiping characters between Open beta and release.

The game is not too bad. It has been dumbed down a lot which is a bit lackluster.

However the game is still fun to play and definitely worth the time, at least in my opinion. However it doesn't have as much replayability as D2.

To be honest, a good old Street of rage on Sega Genesis / Megadrive gives me the same than D3 ... it's fun to smash mobs, but it's nowhere near D2. What has been revealed from the incoming extension won't change it. LOD added far more things, in fact it completly changes the game and made it shine.
