As an early birthday present, my dad bought me an i7 4770 (non k) processor. I was looking to eventually carry over my build to a mITX format, so I was wondering if there were any suggestions towards a motherboard I could purchase.

I'm looking to use it with a 560 Ti and a 128GB Samsung 830 Pro, so I would require a PCI express slot and SATA 3 connectors. Are there any worthwhile H87 mITX motherboards?

My budget is fairly flexible, but I'm unlikely to purchase anything more than £90.

    Thanks in advance!

I can't tell what that board really offers over the H81I-Plus?

    Any ideas?

All that I've noticed is that it has an extra USB 3 header and uses PCI E 3.0... Is PCI E 3.0 actually a worthwhile thing to have? I imagine it helps with future proofing, but how many times more bandwidth does it support?

What Siberdine said plus the H87 has 4x SATA 6Gb/s rather than the 2 on the H81 and the H87 has a couple of extra USB 3.0 ports and an optical port on the back. Whether that's worth the extra £30, I don't really know.

PCIe 3.0 is really only useful if you are running SLI/CFX since that's about the only thing that actually saturates the bandwidth of 2.0.

My MSI B85i does the job quite nicely with my 4770S. It was just over £50 (seems to be slightly more now?!) and has all the usual gubbins you would expect from a mITX board.
