Steam Rust

I have been looking at this game for a while now and has me interested, it is still in Alpha stage but there is early access from Steam.

Has anyone already picked this up and if so what are your thoughts

I really want to buy this, but only if I can find somebody to play with.

This game really does resemble from gm_stranded..

 

If i buy this it will no doubt be after Xmas, maybe when i am paid end of December

Not sure i can be spending much more until the big guy has been and left things for the kids,
Maybe i could put this on my Santa list

The Arma 3 squad I play with about 5-6 of them play it and they are loving it. I too like the sound but ill need to wait till payday

 

I bought this game last night and found a random dude who I eventually started playing with... it turns out he was the admin of the server I was playing on (which in a way was a spoiler). He invited me to his house...

I found 2 bare bodies cooking...

 

So whats your thoughts suragh?

 

I only played it for an hour last night, so far.. its amazing! I did have a look on twitch to see what the game was like beforehand. As it is in alpha, everything is quite basic but this game looks very promising.

I was pretty damn frightened, especially when they both started using voice chat. One of them was female!

I brought the boulder for self defense to be honest..

 

Well I picked this up yesterday and played for about 15mins before logging off to have dinner, when I came back I'm no longer able to join any servers, some sort of 'facepunch_connection_authfailure' error.

Apparently this is to do with the steam authentication servers or some such, so for the time being I cant play the game at all!

 

After some long thinking i have decided i am purchasing this game over Dayz (that will come later)

Hope to be up and running tomorrow for some learning

Maybe see some of you out there

 

Bought this tonight, not a single game played
The menu lags and cannot connect to a server, it wont even acknowledge i am trying to connect, stays on the menu screen

Managed a game this morning, was good fun even though i never lasted long, too many folk shoot on sight, kind of like DayZ

I think i will play on low populated servers until i get the hang of things but i do like this game.
I will probs get Dayz as well when i get a bit more money

 

I bought this recently and am really enjoying it, but it works best when there is a few people working together, anyone want to team up?

 

It's rather entertaining and I was playing on a reddit faction server with 5 friends. We claimed land, made some alliances, and raided houses. Apparently the game is only 10% complete but I've had no issues playing it, and it's rather entertaining. Biggest issue right now is lag / mods introducing lag. It's not impossible to survive on your own, but having a group of people to pool resources / cover each other is more effective. We usually had 3-4 people raiding the neutral radiation towns for the rare spawns while the other 2-3 would gather resources. Being grouped also helps reduce losses from people who kill on sight (KoS) / being able to get some redemption and recovering losses from a downed member.
