Someone made a reference to this so I thought I'd check it out.

It's basically a sit com set in a US community college and it's pretty much the funniest TV show I've ever seen in my life.

    Anyone else been watching it?

This is the most randomly funny show ever.

It spoofs every form of tv and film possible. It even features a clip episode like every other sitcom, but the clips are random ones that never actually happened.

    And Claymation.

    And the paint ball episodes.

    And senor chang

    And Chevy Chase

    And Alison Brie. *sigh*

First couple of episodes aren't fantastic, but it gets soooo much better as the series goes on.

This is a brilliant show saw a random episode from an article recomending it then spent the next few days catching up on all the seasons, its so good random and funny.

So goes in my good list with How I met your mother and the big bang theory.

The real question is why cant we make these kind of shows? British TV is rubbish. Derail and Discuss?

It's one of the funniest US shows on TV at the moment. The first series takes a short while to get going but then constantly hits all the right notes.

I thought about that, it feels very British if that makes sense.

I don't know. I never saw Campus but from the trailer I saw I guess it sort of had the same type of humour.

    Meh, we suck.

    Although Torchwood is awesome.

Now I think about it. Teachers was kind of similar, although so far as I'm concerned the first two series of Teachers were some of the finest ever one TV (in a comedy sense).

First of all I agree, Community is brilliant.
However.. British TV is rubbish? How could you possibly have come to this conclusion? Such comedy greats as The IT Crowd, Only Fools and Horses (I know we're going back a ways there), Blackadder, Father Ted and many, many other great shows which aren't coming to mind right now. Can you honestly say you think that there's nothing to watch on British TV? I can't convince anyone that certain shows are good or bad, but I'd be surprised if there's nothing that you enjoy created by British television producers.

Personally, as you may be able to tell, I'm a huge fan of many British-created TV shows.

It's funny, but I don't think it's as great as people are making out.

The D&D love scene in S2 is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my entire life.

It's pretty great, especially the 'end of episode' sketches with Troy and Abed. Can't wait for S3.

MrBobandy: I mainly meant current TV programs, Black adder is one of my favourite comedies.

The IT crowd is really the only exception to your list which in my mind was derogatory towards people into computers and who work in IT departments and used dumb humour. where the Big Bang theory has very intelectual content as well as comedy.
