Guys, I'm trying to run a GTX 780 under Ubuntu 13.10, and have managed (after a lot of pain!) to get the nVidia 331.49 drivers running. BUT, I keep getting the "ERROR:exception: Bad platformId size" message, so it fails pretty quickly after a number of goes. I'm sure someone must have got a similar set-up running .... ?

Sorry Doc can't answer this, but do you know that PPD took a big hit after v326?

I there was an issue, but I couldn't remember after which driver version.
All the GPU's are taking a hit anyway at the moment because of the old Core 15 :wallbash:
Is the same driver problem present in the Linux nVidia drivers?

Gents - Problem solved: DocJonz thread on official Folding Forum. Worth a visit if anyone gets stuck with a similar problem.

Good news is that the v331.38 nVidia drivers in Ubuntu Linux 14.04 (beta) don't have the sharp PPD drop that the Win nVidia drivers do, and because it's Linux, the client can't run core 15 - it has to be Core 17 - 'sweet' on both counts :thumb:
