    As someone who regularly shoots video at big, meaty, broadcast-oriented data rates onto things like this, I can only cheer wildly and wave a little banner that says "more! bigger!"

    Fingers crossed: I want a pair, one for my tablet and one for my eReader, but I don't actually know if they support 'em (officially, they're both rated for 32GB but have 64GB cards in them at the moment) and it's a lot of money to risk if it turns out to be incompatible!

    Moreover, for more typical use, you can get a decently fast 16GB card for about £7inc.
    MicroSD cards are already very cheap in my opinion, especially considering the ridiculous level of miniaturization.

    Cutting edge maximum capacity versions of any storage technology have always and will always demand a premium.

    If someone had said to me in 2005 that in 10 year's time the loud 120GB spinner in my machine would have been engineered down to a tiny chip smaller than my thumbnail, which could be hot swapped to my heart's content between my devices, I'd have believed them. :p

    It's still awesome though!

    I can beat that: I have a 32MB SD card. I don't use that, mind, but I *do* use a 64MB RSMMC (it's the storage device on my Sinclair ZX81).

    I want 128GB for my phone but I am not willing to spend £60+ on it. You might be but I am not... Once they hit £50 and below then I'll think about it. So yes, they need to be cheaper.

    Am I the only one that thinks 200GB is an odd capacity... given they typically follow powers of 2... [so after 128GB I'd expect 256 to come next... or at the very least 192...]

    It did cross my mind but I soon thought of 120GB, 180GB, 200GB, 250GB, etc... SSDs.

    Agreed, I'd be interested to hear whether there's any over-provisioning on these (unlikely) or whether they have issues with yield or something causing them to disable part of the module.

    My OnePlus One with 64GB @ £269 disagrees on two fronts! Most phones with MicroSD are low/mid range phones now it seems.

    The oneplus one is an exception to the rule as it doesn't ridiculously overcharge for basic storage! I don't like where the rest are heading unfortunately :/.
