Hey guys, Just to confirm, the Asus P6T Deluxe had a trick up its sleeve thanks to a BIOS hack - the standard Core i7-920 could be run with a x21 multiplier, essentially forcing Turbo Mode on all cores constantly. I never checked what the situation was with the higher-end models, but can anyone with the aforementioned hardware combination tell me if the 930 will run with a x22 multiplier? Ta muchly, Will
I have an Asus P6TD Deluxe and a i7 930, so would like to know if this is possible too BTW Will, I'll be cold in the ground before you overtake me!
My ASUS P6T will do that to, I found that out the first time I looked at the BIOS, its not a hack its just how the hardware is...
It's a BIOS hack implemented by Asus to force Turbo Mode on all cores, all the time. What we want to know is, does the BIOS support it with the i7-930? Oh, and Ph4ZeD, I'm catching you... xD
Thats purely because my PPD average is lagging behind my genuine output. Once its adjusted, we will be neck and neck in production.

I don't have a link, but I did see that the ASUS Turbo on full thing works on all i7s and will do the same with the 930. So the 930 should hold the x22 CPU multiplier...
It should work on all 1366 i7's, personally I'd OC it manually as enjoy maximum ppd (30k ppd+ running bigadv's in Linux or VM'd linux)
I can confirm that this definitely works with the Asus P6TD Deluxe + 930 combo. My 930 is running at 22 multiplier constantly. If you turn off turbo mode or speedstep, it will disable.
