complete! see page 2 for final photos!

    original market place thread

So i could not resist to get started on the rig with the parts i already had ready.
Was only missing the PSU so can pretty much do all of the build now so i did.
Updates with photos will follow when it can be powered up.

    Here we go! :D

So aparantly you can put a fan in the roof. Id like to see someone do that. as there is next to no space from the roof to the motherboard as you can see. also no screw holes. But this wont matter much and will help keep positive pressure flow not having one in there.

Replacing the stock fans with the red LED ones.

Using left over CoolLaboratory Liquid Pro

    H50 fitted! Looking good!

This case has no real SSD support apart some punched holes at the bottom, but had a old OCZ adapter laying around.

So, almost complete... just waiting for the last few bits.

I take a lot of time with cable management, love doing it.
I'm afraid the power cables maybe challenging to keep tidy though.

You can come over and sort mine out anytime! I hate that job! :D

Good to see the community get together and do something nice, and that you've done a project log so everyone can see their generosity coming together.

Glad the H50 made it in one piece, the build is really looking good. Surely we could top that 5770, granted it'll do the job just fine but with the rest of the specs as they are, this could be a little beast rig with a better GPU.

I turned my garage upside down as I was certain I had a pair of GTX470's I pulled out one of my Folding rigs (from back in the day). I know one of them is dead but the other should have been fine.. alas I fear I couldn't find it.

    Looking forward to seeing more.

If you have no luck finding a black DVD drive, I have a brand new, unopened black aluminium Coolermaster stick-on optical drive front plate you can have.

    One of these:

    .... that could work!!!
Do i remove the plastic silver front then just stick that on?.

We will go for it, the only problem with the drive we have is that its silver, wasteful not to keep it if we can.

    Ill pm you my address.

Sure, here's a picture of one (in silver but otherwise identical) fitted to my PC.

    http://forums.bit-tech.net/showpost.php?p=3747653&postcount=935

It's made up of 2 parts - one for the drawer and one for the surround. You peel off the back and stick it onto the drive's bezel, first the surround and then the drawer. It just takes a bit a care to line it up.

    Edit:

I have received your address and will get it in the post ASAP. Don't worry about the postage.
