Hey guys, decided id like to have a decent 24/7 overclock running on my system. Around 4.8 ghz. This is my first time overclocking, and I would like some advice or even just 'your' settings for a 4.8 overclock.

I understand there are guides etc but tbh they didnt really help me that much...

Specs can be seen in sig.

    Thanks, Luke.

    Multi to 48x 100

Job done in a simple world but we don't live in such ease.

First things first need to find out your default chip voltage under its stock settings

CPUs + prime95 will show you this.

After you have this set it in bios and boost multi up 1 keep then prime repeat till you start encountering blue screens at this point increase the voltage 1 step then keep going again.

    Repeat till hit Desired overclock.

Max voltage should be below 1.4vcore

Depending on your chip 1.4v may not be enough for 4.8ghz. Mine has ran at 1.42v all day long under water. Depends on how brave you are with your chip. Now putting 1.7v through these is scary brown trouser time

That was first time trying to .

    EDIT:

Ok so after playing around for a while I find that with cpu voltage set at manual then auto It runs at around 1.35 volts..

But if I set the cpu voltage to offset mode, with 0.025 offset it runs at 1.4 volts...

Whats the better option is offset mode the way to go even tho it uses more voltage?

    Thanks again guys, Luke.
