Any way we can buy just the case rather than the crap inside?

Unlikely and you'd have to source a btx motherboard as well. Though you could probably use an atx one.

Love the case. I think I'll wait till someone clones it though which shouldn't be long, don't want crappy dell components in anything I own

Holy cow. I'm speechless. For years I've dissed Dell for making butt ugly computers and never hiring any real designers. It's seems Dell has finally awoken to the lucrative market behind PC asthetics.
For years Macs have dominated the pretty boy chassis market, it seems now that Dell has commited we may have a new winner in sheer design beauty.
I watched those video clips, man this machine looks like a luxury sports car, this has got to be the slickest looking PC ever made.
Congrats on Dell for finally realizing that looks matter.
Finally us PC fans can have machine to rival the beauty of Mac.

For the design....probably. The old XPS desktop was cheap and tacky made from weak silvery plastic. This one looks looooverly however they still wont get anywhere with the top end of the market unless they allow so freaking overclocking in their BIOS.

Are you nuts...Quad SLI crap (I believed it was pants until reading Toms Hardware's review, looks like they got the drivers sorted).. Oh and not to mention the 900W Tagan PSU. :baby:

Is that what it comes with.... And dell are selling it... Oh god, I see price tags of thousands upon thousands of pounds. Dells current XPS is already well into the thousands.

Like I can afford quad sli and a 30" dell to make it worthwhile. I just want the case.

I don't think Quad Sli can push Q resolution in gaming. In fact I don't think any GPU out can push a 30" dell display at native for games.

they can push a 30" dell

it depends on the game and the settigns though

For eg, 8x AA enlarges the image 8x

that means, that a 1680x1050 screen with 8x AA is being driven at 13440x8400 inside the GPU

so i think it can handle the 2560xXXXX reso that a 30" screen is

(please correct me if this isnt how AA works, but im pretty sure thats what a bit tech article said aswell)

The truth about macs and dells

It still isnt my kinda case, the door over the drives is always the most annoying thing and it looks unnesscarily big. I would take one of coolermaster's or thermaltake's designs well before I would take one of those. However in dell standards I suppose it looks alright.
